Lea-Ann McNally is a multidisciplinary artist and film professional based in Whitehorse, Yukon. Raised in rural Quebec, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Intermedia/CyberArts from Concordia University before moving to the Yukon in 2008.
For more than 15 years, Lea-Ann has worked across film, television, commercial production, theatre, live broadcast, photography, and community arts. Her diverse production experience includes roles as Production Designer, Art Director, Set Designer, Prop Master, Set Painter, Camera Operator, Camera Assistant, Sound Recordist, Stage Manager, Special Effects Makeup Artist, Production Assistant, and Background Performer.
Her primary focus is production design and the art department, where she combines visual storytelling with hands-on fabrication, painting, props, construction, sourcing, logistics, and on-set problem solving. Her extensive construction background allows her to move comfortably between the creative and technical sides of production.
Lea-Ann has contributed to feature films, short films, national advertising campaigns, television and web series, theatre productions, live broadcasts, and independent art projects throughout the North. Her work includes collaborations with Yukon Arts Centre, Guild Hall, Northwestel Community TV, Circle Productions, GBP Creative, Shot in the Dark Productions, Fiction Film Collective, and numerous independent filmmakers and artists.
Known for her versatility and strong work ethic, Lea-Ann brings a collaborative, practical, and resourceful approach to every production. She continues to expand her creative and technical practice through filmmaking, production design, construction, restoration, live performance, and multidisciplinary visual art.
